Join us for a book launch celebrating the release of Edgardo Giménez: One of a Kind—a copublication between ISLAA, Fundación Investigación en Diseño Argentino (IDA), and Museo de Arte Latinoamericano de Buenos Aires (MALBA). Edgardo Giménez: One of a Kind charts the ascendant trajectory of Argentine visual artist Edgardo Giménez, spanning six decades of continuous work and an impressive array of media.

This event will feature a presentation on Giménez’s interdisciplinarity and the rigorous visual language he employed throughout his career by Christina L. De León, Associate Curator of Latino Design at Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum. Afterwards, Gonzalo Guerrero and Tara Ridgedell of independent design and risograph studio Secret Riso Club (SRC) will present their collage kit inspired by Giménez’s graphic design work. The kit will be available for free as a limited run print during the event and will also be accessible as a digital download on ISLAA’s website.

The launch is open to the public and will take place at ISLAA, located at 142 Franklin Street, New York. Attendees are encouraged to register online in advance. The event will be held in English, and a recording will be made available online following the event.
